Welcome to Dosbarth Coch

​Mrs Reeve teaches Reception &Year 1. She is also our Early Years / Foundation Phase Lead.

Mrs Reeve is supported by a team of teaching assistants: Mrs Butler &  Mrs Stevens and our Dosbarth Coch (Nursery) Lead, Miss Powell, who is our HLTA.

Dosbarth Oren (Reception and Year 1) and Dosbarth Coch (Nursery) share the Old Infant School Building, which has been refurbished to a high standard and is well resourced to support our Early Years provision. Under the leadership of Mrs Reeve, staff work collaboratively across both classes to deliver a rich and engaging curriculum tailored to the needs of every learner. In line with Curriculum for Wales, children are supported and challenged according to their individual progression rather than their age alone. Through careful observation, assessment and planning, learning experiences are designed to extend each child's knowledge, skills and understanding at the right level. This ensures that all learners, including our more able Year 1 pupils, receive appropriate challenge and opportunities to develop independence, curiosity and confidence within our mixed-age setting.

Doors open at 9:05 for a 9:15 start. The session for Nursery ends at 11:45 and the day for reception ends at 3:30.  Children are handed over at the gate at the into the infant yard.
