We’re very fortunate that our dedicated staff volunteer their time to run a variety of after-school clubs and activities. We aim to offer a broad range of opportunities for different age groups, depending on staff availability and expertise. Please note that places may be limited depending on the nature of the activity.
There is no charge for clubs run by school staff. However, some additional clubs may be offered by external providers, and a small fee may apply. Parents have told us they are happy to support this to expand the range of activities available.
Club Days and Times
Clubs run on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
All clubs finish at 4:30pm
All children must be collected by someone over the age of 16
We are committed to avoiding cancellation of clubs at short notice: we do our best to cover when a member of staff is unavailable so cancellations are extremely rare.
However, there are some weeks each term when clubs will not run due to whole staff commitments such as: meetings, training sessions and PTFA events. We also do not run clubs when teachers are writing end-of-year reports (after May half term).
We ensure that parents can plan for this by publishing a timetable for the term in advance and this information is also published on the website calendar.
The latest information about clubs is linked here.
We kindly ask parents to check the school website calendar if they are unsure whether clubs are running on a particular week. This helps reduce the number of phone calls to the school office, keeping phone lines free for other business and minimising disruption to admin staff.
It’s essential that we know if your child is expected to attend a club and that they will be collected safely at the end
If your child is in school but not attending their usual club on a particular day, please inform the school that morning—either by email or by calling the school office. This helps us ensure every child is accounted for and safe.
Due to limited spaces and high demand for some clubs, we operate an application system:
At the start of the Autumn Term, an application form is sent to parents.
The form is open for a limited time, and the closing date is clearly communicated.
A separate form must be completed per child, per club.
You may apply for more than one club.
Once applications are received, we will confirm whether your child has a place. If a club is oversubscribed, we may rotate membership after half a term or a full term to give more children a chance to participate.
If you apply after the deadline, your child may still be able to join depending on numbers. If not, they will be prioritised for the following term.
Please note: Club membership is reviewed each term, and a place in the Autumn Term does not guarantee a place in the Spring Term if demand is high.
