Communication between Home and School

·        Please ring or email the school office (not your child’s teacher) to report your child’s absence or to pass urgent messages.

·        Please email your child’s class teacher about any day to day concerns or questions you may have.

If it is essential that this information is received before the beginning of the school day, please ring the school office as teachers may be absent or may not have an opportunity to read emails before the school day begins.

Your child’s teacher should be your first point of contact for most things, including complaints, and will advise if they believe talking to the school’s ALNCo or Headteacher / Deputy Headteacher is appropriate.

The Headteacher investigates complaints at the formal Stage B of the school’s complaints procedure (please see here for further information). If you have already spoken to your child’s class teacher and feel that the matter has not been resolved, please contact the headteacher in writing. If you prefer this can be done by email, sent to the school email address.

·        All Safeguarding concerns should be reported to the Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher in her absence – please ring or call into the school office.

·        Please log in to Google Classroom to view your child’s homework.

·        Please log in to See Saw to see examples of your child’s work (Nursery – Year 2). 

·        Please follow us on Twitter to see what’s going on in school, to see shared information from CCBC or local children’s out of school clubs, and to see celebrations of children’s achievements. Your child’s teacher’s Twitter account can be found on their class page on the school website. The school account is @PontPrimary.
